Closing the National Shop Stewards Network 9th Annual conference, special guest speaker, the Greek trade union activist Harris Sideris, explained how trade unionists were fighting back in Greece.
The packed NSSN conference, held at Conway Hall in London Saturday 4 July, heard Harris demand that the Greek people should not pay for the crisis of the bosses.
Harris is a member of the trade union rank and file committee of the contract workers who was sacked by Vodafone for organising in his workplace, and a member of Xekinima, a section of the Committee for a Workers International (CWI).
He demanded that the Syriza government nationalise the banks rather than make concessions to the EU institutions.
