Medirest Workers in Amersham and Wycombe take further action

For the third time in the past couple of months Medirest/Compass workers in Amersham and Wycombe Hospitals will be taking action to demand sick pay and other terms and conditions already given to their colleagues working in the NHS.

On the 1st Feb they will be taking one day strike action and plan to attend the Bucks Health trust board meeting in Buckingham, to let the trust board know of their determination to realise their just claim.

Steve Bell, Bucks UNISON Health Branch Secretary said:

"Medirest workers remain solid and the support they have received from around the country is tremendous. Workers are receiving regular invitations to speak around the country to talk about their dispute. This strike is having an impact and we hope that Medirest and the trust recognise the determination of their workforce and look forward to a time when a settlement can be reached."

Please send messages of support to [email protected]. If your union branch would like to arrange a speaker from the Medirest dispute, please either email Steve on the previous address or contact via 07789 915 221.
