GMB NHS
members
in massive rejection of pensions deal
22 May
GMB members in the NHS have decisively
rejected the governments pensions offer, delivering an enormous
95.6% rejection in a ballot, the result of which was announced
today on the GMB
website

This vote, alongside the rejection by Unite and
Unison health workers indicates a decisive majority are opposed
to the pensions proposals of the government.
In the light of this rejection the leaderships of
Unison, Unite and GMB in the NHS should urgently meet to discuss
co-ordinated industrial action to defeat the pensions proposals.
The NSSN would like to congratulate the members
and activists in the GMB who campaigned for this comprehensive
rebuff of the governments attack on pensions.
