Hi Colleagues
First of all a big thank you to all those that turned up to the protest this morning at YAS (Yorkshire Ambulance Service) Trust HQ.
We had over 40 people plus a blow up rat at the entrance.
The whole idea was to demonstrate that we have not gone away and our dispute remains alive.
Two people gained entry to the meeting and along with a person representing GMB questions were asked regards de-recognition.
The answer was that we were not constructive enough at the beginning of the process.
In other words we didn’t play ball when the trust wanted to make savings at the expense of patient safety.
Well we will have to see how constructive we can be in the future.
We are planning another protest at the next board meeting scheduled for Tuesday 24th September Cutler’s Hall, Church Street, Sheffield, S11HG.
I will send a further notice out with a flyer but we will be gathering at about 8-30 am.
Postcards are now being returned and we will bombard the chief executive with these and via consultation with the reps and members the campaign will be steadily escalated.
Once again a big thank you for your support and if you are on twitter please follow @UniteYASmembers
In Solidarity
