The British TUC has launched an appeal "TUC Aid Appeal - Give for Gaza". TUC aid is appealing for contributions to support emergency humanitarian relief for the peopole of Gaza following the offensive by Israel. Over 500 people including many children have been killed by the military operations. Thousands of Palestinians in Gaza are in dire need of emergency aid -- food, water and medicine. Many more have been made homeless as a result of the clashes between the Israeli Army and Hamas militiamen which have left thousands unemployed an in dire need essential supplies and regular power.

WAC-MAAN Workers Aid Centre

WAC-MAAN is an independent trade union association. It opposes the war on Gaza and calls for an immediate cease fire. After the war ends, they know hundreds of thousands on both sides of the border will remain poor and unemployed. Palestinian workers are shut behind the separation wall, while their families languish in poverty and hunger. Israeli workers, for their part, are starting to feel the pinch of the global financial crisis, with higher levels of unemployment and further attacks on earlier social gains.

You can contact WAC-MAAN through their National Co-ordinator, Assaf Adiv, WAC Ma'an, Nazareth, Israel, office +4-6020680, email assafa@maan.org.il or look up the website at:
